Comfortable Shoes

Filed under: In The News,Politics — Ken @ 11:31 pm

Back in 2007, then-Senator Obama promised to don a pair of comfortable shoes and walk the picket line if anyone’s collective bargaining rights were being attacked.

Apparently his position has “evolved” since then, as he is not only sitting out the Wisconsin, Ohio, and Indiana protests, but he’ll also sit out this weekend’s 50 state capital protests.

A transcript of the above video is below:

“And understand this: If American workers are being denied their right to organize and collectively bargain when I’m in the White House, I’ll put on a comfortable pair of shoes myself, I’ll walk on that picket line with you as President of the United States of America. Because workers deserve to know that somebody is standing in their corner.”

Honestly though, you can’t expect the President to keep his campaign promises, can you?
